Our Parents

Our staff and parents/guardians are encouraged to have open lines of conversation regarding student academic and behavioral achievement. Parents/guardians are given letters from teachers describing the upcoming curriculum and activities that will be happening within the school and classroom.  Our teachers also take advantage of sharing this information online on their websites.  We hold an open house night at the beginning of the year to acclimate families with their teachers. We also have education nights that are specifically designed to inform families of the different activities going on throughout the school in math, reading, social studies, science, and our enhancements.

Parents/Guardians are also able to use Parent Assistant.  Parental involvement is critical to a child’s education. That’s why Iredell-Statesville Schools provide Parent Assistant, a user-friendly Web application to help parents and families become more involved in education. Parents can check their child’s homework assignments, attendance reports and grades from any computer, any time. Parent Assistant is a computer-access program that helps parents track their children’s progress in school. The program allows for easy communication between parents and teachers. It also allows parents to update their child’s personal information and family contacts. Parent Assistant is available to parents of all Iredell-Statesville Schools students.  Contact the NC WISE Data Manager of your child's school to obtain login information.
