Kindergarten

In Kindergarten, your child’s teacher creates an enriching environment where all students feel comfortable to learn at his/her individualize pace. We utilize play-based learning while encouraging students to inquire and investigate educational activities around their classroom. Using the NC State Standards and ISS Curriculum, we implement the Primary Years Programme framework for a transdisciplinary approach to learning. In short, this means we incorporate more than one subject into our lessons in order to promote higher order thinking in our young learners. We explore the “How” and the “Why” instead of just memorization.

We are thrilled to work with you and your child during their introduction to elementary school! We work as a team with each other as well as our Art, Music, PE, STEM, and Spanish teachers to ensure each child has a well-rounded and exciting experience at CCE! Our hope is that we help our youngest learners grow into lifelong learners.
